Robinson can play several positions in the secondary and moves to buck safety from cornerback this year. He started a game at corner during his sophomore season and was among the strongest of defensive backs with a 350 pound bench press.
2011: In 7 games played, Robinson made 29 tackles (24 unassisted); 2 sacks and 4 tackles for loss (7 yards); 2 sacks (7 yards); 2 pass break-ups, and 2 passes defended.
2010: In 9 games, Robinson made 36 tackles (29 unassisted); 1 tackle for loss (5 yards)and intercepted two passes. (48 yards). He made 3 pass breakups and defended 5 passes. He was credited with a safety, pass interception and five tackles against Texas State. His single game high was 6 tackles against LSU.
2009: Robinson was seventh on team in tackles with 56. He also had a sack, a pass broken up and two forced fumbles which tied for the team lead. He made a season high 9 tackles vs Central Arkansas (team player of week in this game), made 7 tackles against both Southeastern Louisiana and Nicholls, and recorded 6 tackles vs Henderson State and Appalachian State. He caught a pass for 25 yards vs SFA on a fake punt and caused two fumbles vs Henderson State.
2008: Robinson made 23 tackles in his first year with Cowboys, including 5 tackles vs North Carolina and Delta State.
High School: Robinson was all-district and league MVP. He played quarterback, running back, wide receiver and defensive back . He rushed for 1,200 yards and passed for 1,000 in his senior year with 21 TDs. He was also a state champion hurdler in track. Hometown: Texas City, TX/Texas City HS.
