College:

2009: McCarter was elected Third-Team All CAA after finishing the season with 29 receptions for 597 yards and 3 TDs. Rock had 2 receptions for 21 yards in season-opener at Maryland. He had career highs of 8 receptions and 168 receiving yards against VMI and caught TD passes of 14 and 23 yards during final 3:14 of the first half to give JMU a 31-10 lead after making a 48-yard reception on JMU's first offensive play. He made 4 catches for 44 yards against Hofstra and 3 receptions for 54 yards and 1 TD against Richmond. Against Villanova, he caught three passes for 49 yards and made 1 reception for 7 yards against William & Mary. McCarter made 3 receptions for 125 yards against Delaware, 2 receptions for 35 yards against Maine, 2 receptions for 42 yards against UMASS, and a 52-yard TD reception against Townson.

2008: McCarter led JMU in receptions with 21, in receiving yards with 347 and in TD catches with 6 (16.5 yards per reception) and his 6 scoring catches matched JMU’s No. 7 season total. Rock had a season-high 4 receptions against Hofstra (46 yards, 2 TDs), made 3 catches at Richmond (42 yards, 1 TD) and against Villanova (87 yards, 1 TD). McCarter had 3 catches (51 yards, 2 TDs) vs. Wofford in the NCAA playoffs. He made scoring catches of 7 and 4 yards against Hofstra, 5 yards at Richmond, 55 yards at Villanova, and of 15 and 23 yards against Wofford. The 55-yard reception from Rodney Landers at Villanova was JMU’s longest pass play of the season.

2007: McCarter started each game and was the team's No. 2 receiver with 20 catches for 285 yards (14.2 average) and 2 TDs. He had receptions in 10 of 12 games with 4 catches in each of JMU's first two games, including 20 total yards at North Carolina and a season-best 87 against New Hampshire. McCarter made a 35-yard reception during JMU's go-ahead touchdown drive vs. New Hampshire and 3 catches for 43 yards against Richmond. He made 2 catches for 22 yards vs. Virginia Military and 2 for 21 yards against Delaware. Rock had a 56-yard TD catch on the second play at Rhode Island and a six-yard touchdown grab for JMU's final points at William & Mary.

2006: As a true freshman, McCarter played in each game after JMU’s opener and started vs. William & Mary and Villanova. He caught six passes for 133 yards, all during the last five games and had two catches for 28 yards vs. Delaware. He caught a 58-yard touchdown pass at Towson and had a 21-yard catch at Richmond. McCarter had a 17-yard reception at Villanova and a nine-yarder at Youngstown State.
