Sykes attended pre-season camp and was released by Saskatchewan on June 24, 2010. With AFL Milwaukee, Sykes played in 3 regular season games, making 6 tackles (4 solo),1 pass breakup, and 1 fumble returned for a TD. During the Iron’s 2010 two game playoff run, Sykes played in both games, making 4 tackles (3 solo) with 2 sacks and 1 pass breakup.
2009: (CFL) Saskatchewan Roughriders:
Sykes played in 5 games during the 2009 Championship campaign making 1 special teams tackle against Winnipeg on September 13, 2009. He played in games against Calgary, BC, Edmonton, and Winnipeg (2). Sykes also spent time on the team’s practice squad roster.
2008: (AF2) Green Bay Blizzard: Sykes was awarded the ADT Defensive Player of the Year and also the Russell Athletic Lineman of the Year. He finished the year with a league leading 22 tackles for a loss and 19.5 quarterback sacks, while picking up 49 defensive tackles, 8 forced fumbles, and 5 fumble recoveries.

2006-07: (NFL) Washington Red Skins: Sykes signed a three year contract on May 9, 2006 and spent the entire 2006 season with the Washington Redskins. He saw action in 1 regular season game and re
mained on the teams active roster. He was released during the final preseason cuts in September 2007.

2005: Southern University and A&M College: In 2005, Sykes led the team with 53 tackles. He also led the team in sacks (9.5) and tackles for loss (12).
